I've loved animals my whole life. One of my first jobs was working at an animal shelter, 25 years ago. It was there that I got to adopt my very first dog, Sandy, who lived a long and happy life. I currently care for my lab mix, Lucy. She is a very sweet old girl who gets along with everyone. While I adore dogs, I specialize in cats. I have two adopted friendly cats, Napoleon and Lotus. I've researched cat behavior, psychology, and care for many years and have experience correcting unwanted behaviors. With my experience, I'm familiar with giving medications and, having dealt with emergency situations, I will stay calm while attending to the needs of your pets. Additionally, I love all pets so if yours isn't t a cat or dog, I'm available for them too. I personally am a hermit crab hobbyist and fish keeper. I'm more than happy to help with any other pets you may have.

Susan took great care of my elderly chihuahua. She kept in touch with me and was attentive to all his needs. He was happy when I returned after 7 days and I clearly formed an attachment to her. I will definitely use Susan's services again.

Dogs: Please let me know if your dog has any special needs and your dog's age and activity level, so I can prepare for this. If your dog is large and has a very overactive personality, I cannot, unfortunately, board them. I'm happy with any size or breed! My dog is afraid of larger dogs unless they are calm around her, so this is important too. Cats: I'm happy caring for any cats, but please let me know of any special care needs and behaviors. Other pets: Please be precise and write down all their needs, so I make no mistakes as I may not be familiar with their specific needs.
A typical day
Dogs: My home is very laid back and great for senior dogs, however younger dogs, that are not too rambunctious, are very happily welcomed, too. Cats: I do not board cats as I don't believe it is good for their physical well-being. But at your house I am more than happy to provide proper care and attention. Other pets: Just let me know their needs please.

Availability
I am a stay-at-home mom with plenty of time and a flexible schedule to take care of your pups, or visit your home for general care, play time, and pets for your cats. I also have a grown daughter, Sarah, who also adores animals and helps in their care and nurturing. I have two other children as well (the youngest, 9), who both also love animals and treat them with care and respect.
