Pet care experience
I have always had a dog and then welcomed our first cat 22 years ago. I am "mom" of the household, they all hang with me, snuggle with me and love on me. Of course they get equal amounts of attention. I have cared for my dad's cat, acquired my mom's dog and my son's cat till he moves and then we have take care of friends pets when needed. I love the additional furry friends in the house, so thought, "why not Rover?!?"

Susan did such an amazing job taking care of my 3 cats. She stayed with them all day, did their feedings, and played with them. Susan has an insight into cats which I really appreciated. She was very patient while they adjusted to her presence and even hand fed our princess as she refused to eat while we were away! Susan also sent us videos, photos, and text updates. I felt like I could actually relax because my babies were in competent hands! I can’t thank Susan enough!

Susan was absolutely wonderful!!! This was the first time we ever had someone stay with our fur babies. Susan was so caring and thoughtful and she put our babies first! She was fantastic! She sent me photos throughout the stay and I knew my babies were safe, well fed and entertained! Our 20 year old cat is even in better shape than when we left. Susan found that she only eats from the center of the bowl so by putting it back in the center she is able to eat better. This shows how much attention she gave our babies. I trust her 100% and recommend her without any reservations. Thank you Susan for everything you did to ease our worry from being away from home.

I have a partially fenced yard that backs to a pond. The sides of the house have a fence that would be fine for a 10-15 pound dog that is not one that is dead set on escaping or loves to jump. It is actually landscape fencing, 18" tall, but works for my dog, a yorkie- bischon mix and our visiting chihuahua. We have a small doggie door to a large screened in porch to be enjoyed day or night. The cat often sleeps on the hot tub cover or on the BBQ grill so he can monitor the activity in the yard.

I do want to make sure your pet is ok with a cat and a small dog. Have to keep their home environment comfortable. It is always good to know any health issues to keep an eye out for. I do have experience with senior dogs and have cared for a dog who had seizures. Any aggressive behaviors regarding food or around other animals or people, is always good to know.
A typical day
Take walks to explore, even just around my subdivision is a great place to go for walks or we have a trail close by. We can go for rides if they like that. Playing with toys is always fund, squeaky toys, fetch, frisbee, it is all fun!

I work from home, full-time but work for myself so it is not a strict work environment where I have time to go outside with during needed breaks etc. However the favorite pet spot seems to be on the big dog bed next to my desk.
