I grew up with animals. Dogs, cats, rats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc. My family raised and trained dogs for Canine Companions For Independence as well as assisted with 4 puppy births through the program. I love dogs! As an adult I have raised and trained 3 of my own dogs. A walk would consist, normally, of a kind hello and some petting when I get to the house, followed by attaching the leash/harness/etc. When first going out the door the focus is on allowing the dog to pee. Then the walk starts, allowing the dog to sniff here and there in case they need to poop. Once the dog has accomplished that I then focus more on walking and getting the dog some exercise. I like to pace the walk to what the dog wants or needs. I always pick up after the dogs! After the walk I carryout any instructions the owner has requested (unless specified to do so before the walk). I always check the dogs water as well. If you have treats the dog can have I am happy to give them one or two. I'm sorry but I do not socialize the dogs out side of their household. It's for the safety of the dog. I am excited to meet some lovely puppies of all ages! I'd love to walk your dog!
