Pet care experience
I'm an avid animal lover, I treat them the same way I do children, with love, respect and tons of attention. The little fluffs give meaning to my life, and I will always do everything in my power to protect them and care for them. After living with dogs and cats for so many years, it's been hard on me moving and not having to get up early for morning walks, potty breaks and feeding time. I dearly miss having dogs and cats around me all the time and I'd love to get back that special feeling, so in a way, this helps me do just that! About my experience: I've lived withand cared for a variety of dogs and cats: seniors, puppies and kittens, disabled and ill animals, pets with behavioral struggles (serious aggression, timidness), as well as skittish and anxious animals. I also have some experience with feral dogs, but more so with feral cats. I've found that the most important thing you can do is earn their trust, and that requires patience, care, and a real desire to understand. I've been a foster cat parent a couple of times, and I pet-sit for friends and family members when they need it. I love spending time with animals and have been an animal lover since I was too little to pick up my neighbors cat as a child.

It's important to have a 1:1 with parents in order to understand their specific needs, their pup's needs, and their expectations. I pay a lot of attention to schedules, maintaining rules for behaviors, and reinforcing whatever the parents may be working on outside of my sitting (for example, a pup who is still learning boundaries, or a pup who chews things when nervous, I am continuing the training the parents are working on based on their guidance). I like sending regular updates to parents, and checking in whenever I am unsure about something, which tends to clarify any uncertainties. Honestly, every pet is different, but the most important thing for me is that they are happy, healthy, and feel just as comfortable as they do around their family. My expectation is that when you get back, you can confidently say that your pets are just as happy if not happier than you left them! And hopefully they are exhausted from playing so much, too, so you can both get some rest after your trip!

I'd love to get to know your pet by meeting them and asking you about them one on one; each dog is special and unique in their own ways and talking to their parent/caretaker about them beforehand is super important, particularly for a sitting. I want both parents and pups to feel safe and comfortable.
A typical day
Fun, safe dog walks, playing fetch at home or going out and enjoying some sun; we'll also of course have some chill time where we can hang out on the couch or on a doggy bed (if you don't want them on furniture) and take cozy naps. With your preferences in mind, we'll do whatever makes your life easier while doing good for your little one (or big baby). Whenever I get bored, I love taking your dogs on extra walks, teaching them tricks to keep them mentally stimulated, and playing games often--with their needs in mind of course, and only as long as it makes you and your pup happy!

Availability
I am currently unemployed at the moment as I am planning to leave Vegas in the next year, so my schedule is open to attending to whatever the needs of the pup I'm caring for are. Some animals need extra attention, care, and take a lot more time and energy, while others need very little. I am of the type to see dog sitting as a little vacation for the pup, too, so if I know they like walks, I take them on many extra ones, and if I know they love playing games or learning tricks, then we'll spend extra hours doing that. I want it to feel special, where they get a tad bit spoiled because they have all my time and it should be have loads of fun (this is of course in alignment with the parent's wants and expectations, but I love making animals very happy 😊).
