The Best Dog Uncle
Pet care experience
I’m the guy my friends call to watch their dog. I’ve taken care of dogs in earnest for about 5 years, from watching them for an afternoon all the way up to two weeks. I’ve always wanted my own dog and one day I will get one (once I have the time), until then I cherish taking care of my friend’s pets and am a proud dog uncle to many pooches. I don’t have any special skills, I just get along well with dogs. I think they sense that so it’s always easy for me to make a connection.

We've worked with Sundi many times, whether walking our dog while we're at work or pet sitting while we're away. He's punctual, communicative, reliable, and most importantly, genuinely adores dogs. Our pup, Nacho, LOVES Sundi and legitimately whimpers when we come to pick him up after a weekend away. Highly recommend Sundi for all dog walking / sitting needs - he's the best!
I had the pleasure of having Sundi watch my dog Milo on multiple occasions over the last 2 years. He is an amazing dog sitter/walker! He was incredibly attentive and caring with Milo and I could tell that he truly has a love for animals. His communication skills are top-notch! I have never seen a more excited dog than ours, when he sees Sundi. It is like a big reunion every time. Sundi clearly loves animals. He is patient, loving and takes extra care to understand a dog's temperament and energy levels. He is also an amazing photographer, so the photos I get of our dog during walks, at the dog park and playing with other pooches are frame-worthy. Sundi also watches our dog while we travel for long periods, and I feel completely confident knowing that he is in great hands, getting lots of love, exercise and attention. If I could give him a grade, it would be an A+.

I’ve mostly cared for pets that can operate well in small spaces. They hang with me on my couch if their smaller lap dogs or if they’re larger then I will make sure they have a doggie bed. In the rare instances that I’m pet sitting in my friend’s home I default to their preferences for care, for example my best friend has long haired chihuahuas who only use pee pads indoors as opposed to going outside for bathroom needs.

I appreciate any temperament input as well as how they play with other dogs. Of course any special needs or habits, like “only poops in crosswalk” are also important too.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks through my neighborhood (Soho) and let them see all the things and smell all the smells. Once a level of comfort has been established we can expand to dog runs, I prefer turf at Madison Square Park over the dirt at Washington Square Park, and play time at the fields on the Westside Highway.

Availability
I’m currently working from home / remotely and walk about 20,000 steps a day during the week to get exercise. I have more than enough time on my hands to do a drop in or take dogs out on walks!
