Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm and have always loved being around horses and dogs! I would regularly go on adventures with them in the mountains, hiking and finding the best open space to explore. I have four years of experience taking care of dogs through house sitting, boarding, and walking/hiking and I am very confident in my ability to entertain and ensure they are comfortable. I love being outdoors - I was a horticulturist for 4 years (designing and maintaining public gardens) and am now at home full time. I live with my Fiance, Matthew, and we have a home with a fenced backyard with my female dog Cinnamon who loves to socialize, be outside, and make new friends to go on walks and hikes with! Summer was a fantastic dog sitter! She was always taking my dog on fun walks/hikes/activities and I swear my dog was more excited to see her than me sometimes! Summer has a true love and respect for all animals. She takes the responsibility of pet care seriously. When she rescued her own dog she vowed to give her pup a healthy and loving home. Part of that includes hiking together daily. Summer prioritizes her dog’s well being, and she ensures all pets in her care are given plenty of her love, time, and exercise. Animals know instantly that Summer is a friend as they seem to take to her right away. My dog is shy and sometimes fearful of new people, but she warmed up to Summer quickly. There’s no one I’d rather trust to care for my furry friends!
Summer is the most loving, caring and responsible young lady I have met. She is dependable and respectful. I have used her many times to take care of my dog. She was always on time, spent time with her, walked her, fed her and loved her as if she were her own. Having a little dog with a lot of energy made it hard to find the right caregiver for my dog. When she met Summer it was as though she knew her for a long time, I have been very happy with Summer. Summer has been a dog sitter for my two black labs many times. Summer is trust-worthy, loves dogs (very important), and is able to handle high energy, strong dogs with no issues. Summer is also a very nice person and is very communicative. I highly recommend Summer.
