Pet care experience
I’ve just moved to Austin a little over 6 months ago during which I’ve adopted a scared puppy from Austin Pets Alive. I have so loved getting to watch Franklin come out of his shell, and have learned a lot about how to handle dogs of all backgrounds - including those who’ve experienced trauma. I appreciate both play time and chill time which is what I made sure to incorporate with all animals that were in my care. I place a lot of value on time management and organization but find it helpful to leave a little room for spontaneity at times. Summer has been a magnificent caretaker of my cat, Saoirse. I needed her last minute, and she was able to not only be available to help, but did so with the utmost care. She is so loving with Saoirse, and keeps me updated daily and sends me photos! I will definitely be hiring her again!

When doing check-ins I would want to know if there are any places in the home that are off limits, good spots that they like to be taken for a walk or let out, and any food preferences you/your pup may have. Additionally, any behavioral or medical practices that are in place.

So that I am able to give your fur baby the best possible care, please let me know if there are any special needs/wants/desires while walking or checking in on your pup! When we first got Franklin we found out he had heart worms, so I understand that certain activities are sometimes more challenging than others.
A typical day
When walking / checking in on your pup I always try to incorporate K9 enrichment activities to mentally stimulate any dog I’m working with so that they can hopefully get out some of their energy out. That being said, my dog has gotten heart worms when we first got him so I understand that certain activities are sometimes more challenging than others.
