Pet care experience
Hello! I am a lover of all life and the things it involves— including people and their animals. I have had cats and dogs my whole life, and each one came with his or her own set of needs. I am familiar with having to treat infections, keep special diets and give much love and play. I currently have two cats of my own. Tom is 15 years old, and Tonks is 2.5 years old. I regularly house and pet sit a 14-year-old lab, 2-year-old red heeler and 2-year-old cat for two professors at the W. Their lab often has dietary issues, anxiety and infections on her paw. Their heeler is a puppy who requires a lot of attention, patience and walks. I would love to care for your pets while you're away and learn all there is to know about them.

Summer has done a wonderful job with our fur-babies! We have a young, high-energy Australian Cattle Dog and an elderly Black Lab (plus a rambunctious kitty). Summer loves animals, and she has the patience to work with them according to their individual needs. Our ACD needs a firm hand and plenty of exercise, but our Lab needs gentle walkies and extra time. Summer is great with both of them and has given them wonderful care for us. We don't trust just anyone to care for our dogs and our kitty, but we know that we can rely on Summer. She has our complete trust, and our pets love her!
Summer is a great pet sitter. She watched my cats last weekend and she did an amazing job! I would recommend her to sit for anyone.
Summer loved and took care of my dog, Shasta, as if he were her own. I was nervous at first to leave him for a full weekend with someone I’d only known from class especially since he’s still kind of a puppy, but she was such a sweet person! She sent me pictures everyday and Shasta just looked so happy in every one. When I got home he was playful as always, well taken care of, and sad to see Summer go. I’d definitely recommend Summer as a pet sitter; she’s reliable, trustworthy, and overall a delight.

A typical day
In the Columbus area, I enjoy going for walks and runs down College St., around downtown and the Columbus Riverwalk. I often bring dogs on walks and runs around here, too. I am willing to find areas in Starkville or West Point to take dogs for safe walks. I love tug of war, throwing balls, and going over any tricks your pupper might know. I also love lounging around with cats or pups and playing with them.
