Unfortunately would not recommend Summer given our poor experience. We intended to drop off our two small dogs for the weekend but had to cut it short due to her inability to care for our dogs. Our dogs have separation anxiety but have always been fine with other Rover sitters. A few hours into their stay we were made known one of our dogs had peed on a bed, which has never happened in the past, but is very unfortunate nonetheless and we are sorry that happened (and of course fine with paying for any damage caused). We were also made aware our dogs were barking as pedestrians walked by. Seems as though our dogs were not comfortable in Summer’s care or home environment. Regardless, I would not say the above is highly unusual for dogs in a new environment as they get used to their surroundings. However, about 6-8 hours into their stay, and after my husband and I had already taken a flight and landed in a different city, Summer messaged us that she could not handle the dogs for the full weekend, and asked if there was another sitter she could drop the dogs off with. We coordinated with another sitter through Rover who had watched our dogs in the past with no issues, but Summer was unwilling to drive them an hour (yes that is far, but in LA not unusual, and we would have paid for travel expenses) despite stating that she was open to driving the dogs to a different sitter. In the end, we were highly uncomfortable having a different Rover sitter who we had not yet met watch our dogs with Summer coordinating the drop off. This caused a great amount of stress for us as we were traveling. My husband and I ended up rebooking our flights, cutting our vacation short, and having a friend pick up the dogs as soon as possible. Summer had mentioned that had she known our dogs have anxiety she would not have taken them and that we should have done a meet and greet. However, she never requested such a pre-drop off meet and greet, and we have never done this in the past (but is likely a good idea for us and others going forward). From our experience, Summer is not a serious dog sitter and not capable (or willing) to work with dogs and get them acclimated to a new environment. For these reasons we would not recommend her to others.

Summer was wonderful watching my dog for 4 nights I could tell my dog loved having the company of another doodle her size. Summer was great with sending photos and keeping me in the loop. Would book again!
