Senior-dog friendly!
Pet care experience
I believe there are no bad dogs: Dogs are products of their owners and will reflect the love they are given! I love dogs more than almost anything, and just seeing a pup brightens my day right up. I have never lived in a household without a dog (usually multiple), and I have always treated my furry friends like they're my babies. I believe I am a great choice as a pet-care-giver because I genuinely care for them so much. They really do make the best friends! I do not mind giving extra special attention to a needy puppy because they are still learning, and the same goes for senior dogs who have given a whole lifetime of love and need a little extra love back. My family recently lost our own senior dog at age 14, so I understand their limitations and am eager to pass on our dog's love to another senior buddy. I am not much of a runner, so walks would be more relaxed-- dogs with the absolute most energy might not be satisfied with the energy outlet, but dogs that prefer to take their time would receive all the patience they need. Otherwise, I feel totally capable of adapting to your dog's needs and personality. Every dog is different!

Summer loves all animals but dogs are her heart. From a toy poodle to a Newfoundland, dogs have always been a part of her family. Summer is a very responsible, bright, caring person. She treats all animals with love and respect. Your dog, in her care, will be played with, snuggled with and watched over as if it were her own pet. If you are looking someone that will be good to your fur baby, then Summer is who you need.

I would like to know about their energy level and any limitations, if they have them! I also feel it's very important that I know how friendly your dog is. Shy or standoffish while warming up to me is totally fine, but a growling dog is admittedly less so. I do not have strong breed preferences but the largest of dogs might be too big for me to manage outside on a walk. I am not afraid of larger dogs and I had a very sweet Newfoundland as a child, so home visits might be okay for dogs of that size if they are friendly and well-behaved! The large majority of my experience has been with small to medium dogs.
