Pet care experience
Hi guys! My name is Sumer! I've been petsitting for over 9 years. I decided to professionally pursue pet care while I was in college. What started as a favor for a friend, rapidly turned into phone calls from strangers needing a petsitter, much to my delight! I've also been a pet parent since childhood, and had been caring for my sweet Little Bear, who passed at the ripe old age of 16 in May of 2020. I now currently have a lovable Italian Greyhound, along with a sweet kitty, both of which I rescued during the pandemic! I understand the importance of Peace of Mind when it comes to allowing someone new to interact with your babies! Life can be a lot sometimes, because of that I'm also flexible accepting last-minute requests for an additional fee. I can confidently promise under my care, your babies are treated like my own. We had Sumer watch our dog Mia for a few days while we were on vacation and she was amazing! Mia is a 70 lb, sweet but leash reactive pitbull and this was the first time we were leaving her for an extended period of time, so I was super anxious about it. Sumer continually sent pictures and updates about our dog though, which made me feel soo much better and helped me chill out and actually enjoy my vacation. In addition to doing a great job with Mia, Sumer also left our apartment even cleaner than it was when we left - definitely an added bonus to an overall great experience with Sumer!

Sumer was great watching our dog for 4 days while we were away! She was very responsive and flexible which was terrific! Tequila also seemed to have a great time with her! She also tidied up the house which we very much appreciated!
While Sumer was very responsive she did not appear to keep the water bowl full or the litter box empty. I stopped in once and then came home the day after. The fountain was half way empty both times and the litter box did not appear to be emptied on the 3rd time she came.

I am very conscious about doors & other risky exits being closed so no one escapes. I love fenced in yards to give good exercise but am also happy to walk around the neighborhood! I’m equally a snuggle bug for all these sweet little animals & love to give them attention!

I welcome all breeds, but would love to know what your pooch's personality is like! I'm a very detail-oriented, thorough person so don't feel the need to spare a single detail! Does your pet have allergies, medications, or special dietary needs I should be aware of? Are there any specific behavioral issues that need to be comforted and/or accommodated? How are they when other animals are present, inside and outside of the home? Feel free to share their favorite toys and treats, and if they have any cool tricks they'd like to show off!
A typical day
I LOVE going on walks with my pooch! I try to make it a goal to visit new parks as often as possible, and we've racked up some favorite places that are very spacious, scenic, and less busy than other well-known parks. Depending on the weather and your dog's walking preference, we could enjoy some good old fashioned running around, fetch, and/or enjoying the nature around us. I also come prepared with a collapsable water bowl, and am mindful of each dogs intake, taking into account of the intensity of each walk and the weather. During our inside time I would love to cuddle your baby, while also respecting their needs for nap time and space.

I work part time with my other business, which leaves me an open & very flexible schedule to focus on my rover business as well! I’m very active so I love being outside & going on walks with your pups!
