Pet care experience
Hi there I'm Sumedha, I had the joy of looking after my own pup for 8 years. Raised and trained him on my own, even nursed him with help of a vet through a tough medical treatment that lasted a couple of months. I've got lots of patience with pets. He was my definetly my best buddy, and I've learned so much about the care a dog needs from him. These days, I'm a support worker - yoga and dance teacher - for young adults with extra needs and learning disabilty, which keeps me active and full of energy. I moved to Edinburgh last year and since moving here I've really missed having a pet around to share that energy with. Luckily, I live with my husband - Vasu, who shares my love for animals! We both miss the wagging tails and wet noses that make a home complete. So, we've decided to open our home to your furry family members! We'd love to be an extended family for your dog while you're away, giving them all the love and attention they deserve.

We've got a spacious living room and additionally two roomswhere your pet is more than welcome to relax and feel at home, the living room has a large window and I'm sure it's going to be your pets favourite corner. Our furniture is open to them, so they can cuddle up wherever they please. We'll make sure to feed them their favorite treats and meals as you instruct us. Plus, they'll get plenty of love with nice scratches, happy walks, and fun games in the parks. We're committed to making their stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible, ensuring they feel like part of our family while you're away. Looking forward to spoiling your pet!

A typical day
A typical day for your pet with us starts with a morning stroll, followed by breakfast tailored to their preferences. While I'm at work teaching, Vasu works from home, providing company and playtime. Midday includes another walk or park visit for some fun and exercise. In the afternoon, after my work, we enjoy a longer walk or hike. Evenings are for dinner, indoor play, and cuddling on the couch. Your pet is welcome on our furniture and will receive plenty of love, attention, and care throughout the day, following any routines or preferences you've shared with us. We aim to make each day enjoyable and comfortable for your furry friend!

Availability
I am a support worker and I teach yoga and dance to young adults with special needs from 9 am to 4 pm on weekdays. My Husband (Vasu) works from home as a software engineer, so he's always there to keep your pet company during the day. On fridays, I wrap up work by 2 pm and have weekends completely off, giving us plenty of time for long walks and playtime with your dog. We're both eager to share the responsibility of caring for your pet, ensuring they're always loved and never alone. Looking forward to meeting you!
