Pet care experience
I have been a part of rover since 2021 and have met lovely faces along the way. I started rover as a side hobby and now love the idea of caring for animals as a part-time job. I continued to care for pets starting from my teen years for family members. Then I started to volunteer in an animal shelter, mostly walking dogs and became a caregiver in the same shelter. To sum up, I love spending time with cats and dogs! I am working as a veterinary technician as of now and miss the idea of just spending time with pets. I have decided to put more time into a job that I loved so much and hope to see many new faces. I love running with big dogs or even the small active ones! I also like to just sit with a couch potato while giving lots of pets. I have a 14 year old shih-tzu that I have been caring for since he was a puppy. He sleeps most of the day but loves his walks. Gizmo can be shy with other dogs, but he has not shown any aggression. He prefers to sleep rather to play, so he’ll mostly keep to himself. I have help walking Gizmo, so your pet will have a walking buddy if they were to board with us.

Sujae is the best sister I found in Rover ever. She took good care of Loki, sent pics everyday
Sujae is an excellent cat sitter. She came for drop in visits on time and consistently over multiple days. I liked seeing pictures of all the cats and the nice notes she left. She helped me out of a jam when another sitter cancelled my pet sitting while I was already out of town. Rover helped me find Sujae and I’m super happy we found each other! Sujae did a wonderful job for me and my cats. Thanks Sujae!
Sujae sent pictures often to keep me updated on my dog. I felt better knowing that she also had an older dog and knew that caring for senior dogs requires a lot of patience. Her communication was excellent.

A typical day
I love walking around my city and exploring different neighborhoods. I can take your dog to parks nearby and run around as much as we can. We need a lot of exercise, so we help each other out! As a dog owner, we know all the cool spots dogs love to hang out.

Availability
I currently work in an animal clinic part-time and plan on volunteering my time in different organizations in the summer. I do commit sunday through wednesday for pet care/volunteering. The nice thing of volunteering is that it’s pretty flexible in scheduling and not long hours.
