Safe and Secure & Lots of Attention

Pet care experience

Energetic Retired Woman who loves Dogs. I have a fully fenced secure yard and a pet friendly home, just south of Sunriver. You can drop off your dog or I can pick up your dog in my van. I can walk/skate/bike your dog if you want your dog to get some exercise or I can just pet and brush your dog while enjoying a movie at home. My care is customized to your dog and your specific needs. I am comfortable giving dogs specials meals and medication if necessary. I have 18 years experience caring for and training dogs. I ensure that all dogs eat with their pack and I sit with them to ensure they eat. About this sitter: Energetic Retired Woman who loves Dogs Why I love dog sitting I've been a dog lover since I was a child, and I've always been fond of animals. When I see a person with a dog I have the habit of addressing the dog first. When I wake up and there are dogs liking my face I feel loved........ Meet my pets I have two dogs. One is a 4 year old Border Collie / Ausie Sheppard mix; and an 8 year old lab mix. Both dogs are well socialized and have had many pet visitors; they love meeting new dogs. About my yard I live on 1/2 acre property with fully fenced in back yard and the fencing is dug down 12" into the ground to ensure dogs will not be able to dig under the fence. There is plenty of room to run in the back yard and it's completely secure. I do not leave any dogs in the backyard unsupervised. My experience administering medication I have experience with providing special diets and administering medications. I would need a list of instructions from the dog owner.

We were in Bend on vacation and needed a place for our two little ones to stay for a couple of days while we did some site seeing. Sue was wonderful and took great care of our dogs. She sent pictures everyday and kept me up to date on their stay.

Our Woody immediately loved Sue, so we knew he would be happy and well cared for. He had so much fun playing with the other dogs and came home exhausted. Sue is thoughtful and responsive with all of the dogs and their humans.

Sue took wonderful care of our Toy Australian Shepherd. Lots of space to run at her home and everything was so clean and organized. Sue was also very responsive and gave great updates. We would definitely visit again.

Information Sue W. would like to know about your pet

It's best for me to know about the current environment your dog resides. It's also good to know if your dog has special needs or has particular issues (for example food aggression) so I can proactively attend to the issue.

A typical day

I will tailor the exercise to the specific dog's needs. For example if an owner would like their dog to have vigorous exercise then I could skate or bike with the dog. If the owner prefers their dog receive a walk I live in a neighborhood with 13 miles of paved roads. If the owner would prefer me to throw the ball for their dog to retrieve I can do that as well. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I would like to know where the dog usually sleeps in his/her home. I usually take the dogs lead on where he/she would like to sleep. Often times all the dogs lay on dogs beds in my bedroom. There is quick access to the outdoors. Time I'll spend with your dog I'm retired so I'll always be with the dog that I'm sitting. If I need to leave the house my preference would be to take the dog I'm sitting with me (if it is not hot) and then work in a break and exercise at the dog park, if appropriate.
