I have had a dog up to five dogs at a time over the past 35 years or so, they make life so much better. I currently have a dog, a doodle mix and I have a housemate to help care for him when I am gone. I have dealt with a diabetic dog who needed insulin twice a day, elderly dogs who need extra care picking them up and walking them, and puppies who need someone with patience and eyes in the back of their head. I am good in emergency situations, like dogs choking, bee stings, etc. I have had a few different careers; I still work, but it is done electronically and mostly from home, which gives me flexibility. I doubt my education really matters for dog care, but I am a college graduate, physically active, fairly strong, a good raconteur, and of course, a dog lover.
