Pet care experience
Great family environment with a large fenced backyard to run and play. We have a fiberglass pool that any water dog will love to swim in or just soak in on a hot day. We have great kids that will show your animal plenty of attention. We are very flexible on scheduling and cancellations. Your animal would not be kept outside but will be outside often on walks around the neighborhood or in the woods in the backyard. It would become apart of the family while it stays with us. We have a very disciplined schedule that caring for animals works well for. We will send pictures and daily updates as we care for your pet. Look forward to meeting you and your pet.

First time leaving our dog with a "stranger" overnight. Steve and his wife provided several updates and pictures which helped ease the anxious mind!
Fisher’s 6th stay with Steven and family. I think he considers them family now. We always feel very at ease while we are away knowing he is getting such loving care and attention. The photo updates of him enjoying the family and other dog visitors give continued peace of mind. This particular visit was going to be different for him because for the first time in 10 years he was without his lifelong companion Bella. It was wonderful to see on drop off day that his old buddy River was there as well and once again, I don’t think he missed us at all. We continue to feel so fortunate to have found Steven and family on Rover and they will always be our first choice. The care and environment they provide is first class and continue to surpass expectations. They are awesome!
Steven and his family were amazing with my pup. We are new to the area and have never left our dog overnight with a “stranger”. Steven and his family treated him like family and sent us updates as well as photos on the regular to make us feel more at ease. I’d say Kado enjoyed himself too, and was so wore out with all the stimulation and fun, that he slept for almost 2 days! Will definitely be using Steven for future stays and would 10/10 recommend.

We give your pet the keys to the house while they are here. They will already be stressed because their owner is gone and they are in a new place. They can go out in the fenced backyard or just relax in the house. We do a walk in the morning and evening and if you are booked on the weekend they will get to go boating if we go out on the water. Some pets just like hanging out on the couch and thats ok too.

Please inform us if you have any special meal plans or medical information prior to arrival so we can plan ahead of time. What to bring..... anything that will make your pup feel at home. Dog bed, favorite toy, water, food bowls, kennel if used regularly, and anything else that would ease the stress of a new home away from home. We have dog guests that visit often, and we have been their sitter for years and as long as your pup is friendly, they will fit right in. If you don't feel comfortable selecting that your pup is friendly with other dogs, we are probably not the sitter for you.
A typical day
We go to the Park often and we love the water so it is common for us to take the pets dogs boating. They have a great time running to sand bars swimming. We provide doggy life jackets also. They can also take a dip in the pool out in the backyard. Drop off: Please text when you on the way with a approximate ETA. We will bring you into the house to make your pup feel at home then you can sneak out as they explore the house and backyard. If they have been here before just open they door to the car and they will run in to get their staycation started. We will come grab the food and bags. Pick up: Please text when your about 20-30 mins out with an approximate ETA. We will gather your pet's bowls, bed, and bag to meet you outside in the front yard. This will allow you to get back on the road to home after what usually is a long journey.

We are a homeschool family and are home all day most days. Brittany, myself and the children are very rarely not with your animals. If we go somewhere they go with us to the park or to run errands. They become part of the family for their time with us.
