My first dog was mixed breed, 1979 - 1993. I've owned and bred Dobermans since 1994 and I have been a member (over 16 years) and the President of an Obedience Training club. My dogs and I've earned many obedience titles. My dogs are a major part of my family. They live with me constantly and I give them the same degree of care I would give to my own children. I also have two African Grey parrots that I treasure. Of course, they have their own room. I've worked as a physician for over 37 years and am retiring. For me this would be a good way to enjoy a job where I can earn a little money and share my knowledge with other pet owners. As a physician every patient relied on me to give proper care and I feel the same about people's beloved pets.
