We had our Goldens, Riley and Ginger, since 2005. They left us in the last few years, and we miss them terribly. In 2006 Steve opened a Bark & Fitz, a store that catered to dogs and dog owners. Steve sold his share of that business to his brother after ten years of success. The last year has given us lots of time to dog sit for friends and family, and that has been very rewarding and fun! Our work from home life is mostly part-time and after learning about Rover we feel this is a great fit for us to provide a valuable service to dog owners and their dogs, while at the same time bringing us fulfilment and the chance to make a little extra spending money. Friends, family and acquaintances will attest to our love and caring towards all dogs, and our responsible, honest and trustworthy natures. We're confident that prospective owners will feel comfortable with us and our approach, and our ability to relocate for short periods of time allows dogs to stay in their own environment while their owners are away. Robin and Steve work from home 90% of the time, the longest either of us is away from the house is 4 - 6 hours and rarely at the same time. The nature of our business allows us to set our own schedules, if we know we know we will be busy we will base our decisions to accept bookings based on our schedule; we will strive to under promise and over deliver in this regard. Morning and afternoon walks are a natural part of our daily routine. We have a large fully fenced yard, dogs are welcome in all areas of our home, including on furniture and in the bed, as they like. We can easily crate someones dog if that's their preference and/or their dog likes to have that available to them. When at a clients home we will easily adapt to the lifestyle they have created for them and their pet. We will ensure to treat their loved ones and their homes as good or better than they would treat them. While this is our first time offering our time for money, we're confident we'll prove we can provide great service to our clients and their pets. We have family and friends that own dog boarding businesses and dog walking businesses and they've expressed confidence in our ability to earn our clients trust and repeat business.
