Pet care experience
As a person who is from a family that has a toy poodle, I really enjoy my time being with dogs. Even though my family is back in Korea, every year when I go back, my favourite thing to do is to be with my dog. It is always delightful to spend time with him. Not only that, but being with dogs also heal me and make me relaxed. Dogs give me energy and love that you cannot get from humans which is why I started Rover. I board one dog at a time to give him or her my full attention and to let the dog stay as comfortable as possible. Feel free to shoot me a message for anything!

Steve is absolutely the best sitter. Zuzu stayed for almost a month with Steve and had a fun-filled vacation with him. Being away from your pet for a long time is very difficult, but with Steve we were always assured that Zuzu was having a really good time. Steve is very responsive and always diligent with updates (photos and videos), and it has always been extremely reassuring. 100% recommend his services.
This is our first time using Rover and a dog sitter for our senior dog Jackie so we were nervous. Met up with Steve in advance to ensure it will be a good fit for both sides before booking. Steve accommodated us with some last minute changes in drop off time and he sent us regular updates and pictures while we were away. Jackie was taken care of and seems to have enjoyed her time. Although there was a minor hiccup but Steve and Rover took care of it promptly and professionally which we really appreciate.
First time using Steve to take care of my 1 year old Boston for a week and he was excellent. Good communicator, responded quickly and kept me up to date with pictures while I was away. Highly recommend.
Steve took great care of my 2 y.o. Yorkie mix in his home. Communication was great throughout, and she got lots of exercise. She returned a very happy pup!

I usually let the dog smell around my place on the first day so he/she can get used to my place and be comfortable. Then I play with him/her once I feel that the dog is settled down and ready to get to know me. I always leash before stepping out the door and don't let them go in to my balcony by themselves for safety reasons. I will always ask the owner before if I need to be aware of anything so I can keep an eye out. Safety first then fun!

I like to know if they are trained not to go on furniture and bed because I prefer them not to go on my bed. Other than that, I like knowing their feeding and potty schedule so I know how to schedule my work and my day.
A typical day
I usually like to go on for one long walk so they can adventure while I get some fresh air. I try to take them to places with not too many people so they have space to move around. If allowed, I sometimes take them to dog parks for them to play and interact!

I need to go into the office around 2 times a week and so preference is given to dogs who does not have separation anxiety and can stay alone for up to 9 hours. I do have a camera in my suite that I check regularly when at work to monitor the dog. When working from home I can take him/her out every 3-4 hours.
