PAWSitively Pumped 2 Pamper UR Dog!
Pet care experience
I am a friendly, outgoing, dog-lover who has grown up with and lived with dogs all my life. I have helped raise both family dogs and dogs of my own, and it brings me joy to care for dogs and pets of all kinds. Currently without a furry friend of my own, I am excited to meet, play with and care for your pups when you don't have the time. Currently, I fill the dog-void in my personal life by volunteering weekly at the Animal Rescue League of Boston since March 2015, and am happy to add your pups to the mix as well. At the ARL, I have taken and passed their Canine Companion Levels 1, 2 and 3 training courses, and I've participated in weekly shelter dog training classes which have given me the opportunity to train, walk and play with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I look forward to the opportunity to walk, house-sit or make drop-in visits with your beloved companions and care for them like one of my own. I am accepting of all types of dogs with needs of any kind. I live in Somerville and work in Beacon Hill, which affords me the availability to make lunch-time (if close by) and evening drop-in visits or take your dog for lunch-time (if close by) and evening walks in the Beacon Hill, Downtown, North End, South End, Back Bay and Fenway areas; as well as house-sit your pup in your home during the evening all throughout the Greater Boston area. *Please note: On holidays or holiday weekends where the holiday rate isn't automatically applied, I may adjust your request to reflect my holiday rate, where applicable. I will always notify you of this change and discuss this with you prior to accepting your request.
Reviews
Steve, once again was a great dog sitter for our boy Wrigley! We have used Steve numerous times now because we know how great he is with dogs and how reliable he is. Highly recommend Steve for all your dog sitting needs!!
Steve is absolutely amazing with our dog, Fletcher. Fletcher has some special needs and Steve was willing to go above and beyond this past weekend for our pup! The picture/Rover updates were fantastic and allowed us to completely relax while away all weekend. I couldn’t recommend Steve more!
Steve did a great job, as always, caring for our dog Wrigley. And, even though this was a pretty last-minute request, it was not a problem for Steve. He's flexible and professional, always.
This is the second time Steve has stayed In our home with our dog Wrigley and once again he did a great job! He's a true animal lover and it shows. He really understands dogs! Our dog Wrigley is a rescue and has some quirks as a result. Steve was very understanding about them and really paid close attention to what we and Wrigley needed. He's also very communicative and follows through on everything he says he will do. In addition, he was so respectable of our home, leaving it neat and tidy. Steve is an excellent dog sitter!

Information Steve C. would like to know about your pet
Tell me about your dog's personality! What is his/her temperament around other dogs and other people? Is he/she resource guarding when it comes to food and toys? Does he/she require any special needs (medications, etc.)? I'll also ask you to provide your dog's veterinary information in case of emergency. And most importantly, I'll request information about your dog's typical daily routine, so I can provide him/her with their food, walks and playtime at the appropriate times to keep their day(s) without you as normal and comfortable as possible.
A typical day
When house-sitting with your dog, my number one priority is to make sure your dog's normal routine isn't disrupted. Whether it's trips to your local dog park, walks around the neighborhood or playtime at home, I am eager to make your dog's time without you as stress-free, and typical, as possible.
