Pet care experience
I mostly work from home doing medical chart review and analysis? so I am able to hangout with the dogs for most of the day! I moved to Seattle recently given this is the last year I’ll have true freedom before starting anesthesia residency, and chose the PNW strictly to enjoy the outdoors daily—so I have plenty of energy and time to spend and hangout with ur pet! Wish I could get my own but I know come July I’ll have very little time for it. A bonus is that your pet will also get attention from my longtime girlfriend who also works virtual and lives with me! Been in Seattle for only 6 weeks I think we’ve already covered 15+ big hikes!
Reviews
So far as I can tell, Blep had a great time there once getting acclimated to his new digs. Only minor critique (small enough to not knock off a star) is that I would have preferred more frequent and/or unsolicited updates.
Stephen was great! He was able to accommodate us with every need. He took our dog on lots of runs, walks and hikes and sent us many photos while we were gone. We will definitely use him again!
Stephen was great with our two pups for an overnight stay! Our pups love going out for walks - he took them on a hike and sent a picture of their adventure. They didn't want to leave & came home tired - great for us (& the pups)! We will definitely reach out to Stephen again.
Stephen was great with my VERY energetic Australian Cattle dog. She can be difficult to mange sometimes but he had her tired out and napping in the middle of the day, which she never does (she is currently only a year old and her breed is so high energy). He took her on hikes, played a lot of fetch, and even sent some photos of her.

In 3200sqfr home with no other animals, so plenty of room to roam, I just keep them off nice furniture/ cover the furniture. I don’t like to completely baby pets and give into their every need, rather prefer to encourage positive behavior and give intentional in attention during bouts of bad behavior (as defined By the owner). My sister has a little Pom that she gives treats all day for no reason, and inadvertently reinforces barking on mailman, stranger, etc…that’s NOT how I approach pet care at all. I believe the relationship between owner and pet should have mutual respect, not a one-way style. I’ve definitely had owners in the past feel their pets were better behaved on return because I love training (it’s just ingrained from the physician training culture I live in), and nothing more satisfying than teaching your pet a new skill with positive reinforcemenr.

Information Stephen R. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if aggressive towards other dogs, extremely shy. Also I love all cats and dogs, but have special place for huskies, shepherds, and bengal/Maine Coon cats, as that’s what I grew up with in my fam.
A typical day
Walking around Newport Hills, taking the pipeline trail, going to Newcastle beach park, hiking cougar mtn. But also had many a older dogs stay with me and just want to chill on couch, maybe watch real housewives with my girlfriend lol.

If ur dog is extremely active and playful, definitely will have good time with us. But if your dog tends to want to simply chill, that’s okay with us too. And while cats for some reason get a bad rap, my gf and I actually love taking care of kittens and friendly adult cats (I think we’ve fostered 16+ kittens over the years for the SPCA in Virginia.
