My first dog was a rescued Blood Hound. We had her from the age of about 2-3 until she passed from cancer at 12.5 years old. I didn’t know how much unconditional love and affection I was missing in life until I discovered my love for dogs. I just wish it was sooner! I currently have 2 dogs. My older dog is a rescue, his name is Harvey he is about 45lbs and is approximately 5 & 1/2 years old. I think he is a Basscottie, a basset hound & Scottish Terrier Mix. My younger dog, is a nearly 9 month old big bundle of love, named Georgia. She is a Golden Retriever, and she is a big girl at about 75lbs, she will most likely be around 100lbs. I love taking care of them, they are like my children. We love to play fetch on go on walks around Schiller Park. We also enjoy going to the Audubon Dog Park off Whittier when the weather is nice.
