The sitter wasn't able to take care of my pet by bringing her outside to use the potty. He keeps texting me to claim his carpet is damaged and needed to be compensated. We started being uncertain if he would be able to take care of our high energy Labrador retriever. He started asking for compensation on carpet. And stated his inability to take my dog to the stairs/elevator or to carry her. Our spring break trip was ruined since we have to worry about our dog well being. We chose a house sitter since we know my dog needs human attention and walks daily. I feel sorry if the sitter's carpet was made dirty but I couldn't imagine how he expects the dog to relieve herself without going outside to go potty. I was sympathetic with his inability to handle my dog. It now seems like he's inexperienced and doesn't meet my dog's need. He keeps asking for outrageous compensation to be paid to him outside of Rover which I guess is against the policy. I am leaving him $50 as tips to reimburse the cost of training pads he bought. The booking was shortened from 9 days to 6 days when the sitter called my dog criminal and I feel threatened by the whole situation.

Stephen boarded our two golden doodles and was a great host - he was very easy to communicate with, responsive and took great care of the pups. We will book with Stephen again!
