Due to the pandemic, I am currently working from home full-time. As an avid animal lover with a lot of patience, I've been entrusted with taking care of friends' and familys' pets (and babies) over the years, as well as having lived with animals on various occasions - in fact, I was accepted as a roommate once when the owner's dog walked up and licked my face during the roommate interview which was apparently something the dog never did. Having spent a lot of time with pets, I focus on respecting their emotions, moods, and needs. Towards this end, I would generally prefer meeting your pet(s) beforehand to ensure that we have a good rapport. For boarding, I have my own place that has a small private yard as well as plentiful grassy communal space for their exercise and walking needs. Your pet will also have plenty of indoor space where they can either socialize with me or find some private space for alone time. As I do this for the love of animals and not as a primary business, my home will be their home for the duration of their stay. Additionally, for their comfort and safety, I will also only board one households' pet(s) at a time. Unless there is already an existing relationship between the pets, I don't feel that kind of unexpected situation would necessarily be an enjoyable experience for anyone involved. For house-sitting, I'm happy to either check-in on your pet and socialize with them or stay in-house, depending on your needs and preferences. Walks and check-ins are welcome as well. Please note that I do this for the joy of animals - I have a normal day job that requires normal hours. If that is an issue, no hard feelings! I wish you well on your search for a sitter.
