The Funny Sitter
Non-smoking, substance-free, uber-responsible, pet/child free, licensed, background-checked professional pet and housesitter. Engaged to another fellow sober sitter, Andrew (we're getting married in Spain summer 2027!) We sit to save up for our wedding and future home. I've been sitting everything from cats and dogs to lizards, rabbits, donkeys and even sheep for over 20 years, with a specialty in freshwater aquariums and plants As a former homeowner, I know what to do when the water boiler goes out, how to reset the WiFi, and all of the specialty stuff when it comes to California (earthquake & fire preparedness.) I can sneak meds into food like ninjas! I have lots of experience with senior cats, as well as administering cannabis for special needs. Time-specific special needs also available for an additional fee and must be discussed in advance (hospice, constant care, anxiety, kittens, puppies, etc.) For a meet & greet, please book a drop-in visit.

I travel to sit! Strand me on an island to hand-feed your special needs tropical fish (true story) or throw me into your Zona Romantica loft to snuggle your cerebrally challenged dog from stress-eating the side of your couch when the pirate ship sets off fireworks every night (also true story.) I'm bubbly-but-introverted and do best with animals who appreciate that. For example, I wouldn't fare well with a dog who had been trained to only respond to dominance and yelling. I charm animals with calm conversations and siiiinging I sometimes sit/work with my partner, Andrew, especially with 3+ dogs, so in that case you are getting buy one get one free :)

Stephanie is the best. This is the second time we used her and will plan on scheduling her anytime we go away. She stayed in our apartment and navigated everything with the little communication we left because we didn't manage our time before leaving.

Stephanie was a great cat sitter. She really helped us out when another Rover sitter canceled and it was getting closer to our departure. She responded immediately and we set up a meet and greet. All went well and we booked her that day. I didn't manage my time effectively and ended up leaving a small note about staying at our apartment and our cat Meka. No problem, we were able to communicate through text and she just knew what to do anyway. She sent pictures every morning and also extra ones with cute poses. I could see Meka had made a new friend. Our plane got in late and she stayed to make sure the cat was feed. Everything was in order and our plants were even taken care of. Don't hesitate book Stephanie, we would again.

Schedule
I work remotely as a creative consultant and writer, which means that I'll be to share lots of peaceful energy with your pet. I send at least one daily photo and update (usually funny/goofy) but make immediate contact with any emergencies. I'm able to provide complimentary 20-minute meet & greets virtually, please book a 30-minute drop-in if you'd like a physical meet & greet.
