My sister and I fostered all types of dogs and cats through the Greater Birmingham Humane Society since 2020. As of now, I take care of 3 fur babies of my own, two dogs and one cat.

Stephanie has taken care of our dogs and cats on several occasions, sometimes for a day or two, sometimes for over a week. Not only does she take great care of them, but she’s also great about communicating with me. My dogs and cats are family to me, and I trust her completely to not only care for them, but to let me know if something were to arise or if she were to have a question. I highly recommend her!

I have a fenced in backyard that is honestly small, but there is a dog park less than 5 minutes walking distance from my house. I have 2 friendly dogs that can help your dog get some energy out or they can be separated by crates, depending on your preference.

I would like to know about their personalities or energy levels before hand. I understand some dogs have social anxiety and/or shyness so I just want to be proactive about making them feel comfortable the best I can.
A typical day
I love the water, so if everything is alright, I can get in the water with the dog to run around. If I’m hosting the pouch in my neighborhood, I have a dog park within a 5 minute walk for my house that I can definitely take advantage of.
