Pet care experience
From a very young age, I took it upon myself to care for and train our family pets; from helping our pup to become accustomed to an invisible fence to administering diabetes medication to training a socially anxious pup. Now, as a mom to 3 kids and a rescue dog (1 current and 4 in the past), I love caring for and spending time with all animals. My husband and I have both passed background checks as LCPS employees of 15+ years. We are an active family and enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors with our very friendly and social rescue pup, Leo. We have a fenced outdoor yard and enjoy frequent walks. I believe all animals need fresh air, exercise, unconditional love and positive reinforcement. While I would love to rescue all the animals, this is not an option for our family. The next best option is to open our home to other animals who are in need of a caring home for a day, weekend or week or two. Please let me know how your pup typically does with new adults, kids and other dogs, as well as how he/she does during the day when you’re away. I would also like to know anything else that you think would be helpful.
A typical day
I typically walk my dog 2-3 times/day in the neighborhood around my house, often near the lakes in Ashburn Village. I enjoy playing fetch or other training games in the backyard, or lounging on the screened porch.

Availability
I work full time outside of the home M-F 7:30-3:30. We typically are up very early (by 5:00) to ensure our Leo has plenty of exercise before leaving for the day. After we are home, we usually spend a couple of hours outside taking walks and playing in the yard with our pup and kids. I can board pups who are crate trained, or well behaved during the day. Leo is 1 and therefore still has some puppy energy, although he’s becoming more relaxed. He gets along very well with other dogs.
