My husband and I have grown up with pet dogs. We have raised our kids (22, 20 and 18 years old) with dogs. In past, we’ve had a Weimaraner named Sadie, an English Pointer named Annie, and an English Mastiff named Izzo (R.I.P. to these much-loved pups that have passed). We currently have a Labrador Retriever and a Rottweiler. I work about 5 minutes from home. I can come home at lunchtime to let your dog out for a potty break and I am home from work at 3:00 pm. During the workday, I would keep your dog safe and secure in a crate (or possibly in our laundry room, if your pup is used to being out and is well-behaved when unsupervised outside a crate). While we are generally a "no-dogs-on-beds" kind of house, we have been known to break the rules sometimes...and for sure we are a "get-down-on-the-floor-and-rub-the-belly-laying-in-front-of-the-fireplace" kind of house! We have a fenced-in backyard for exercise and playtime, and a nice neighborhood for on-leash walks. Let us love on your dog! .
