Work from home, attentive pet care
Pet care experience
I live in Sugarhouse with my husband and our spoiled senior hound. We are experienced dog owners and aim to keep your pet safe while providing a fun and engaging environment. Pets will be treated like our own while in our home, and you can expect a lot of photos and updates throughout their stay.
Reviews
Stephanie is very detail oriented, responsive and nice! She provided constant updates and I felt comfortable that my dog was being well taken care of. Stephanie loves dogs and I would highly recommend her! Thanks Stephanie!!
We’ve used a lot of different sitters over the past few years on this app, and none have made me feel more comfortable leaving my dog than Stephanie. Her attention to detail and quality of care cannot be matched! We’ll never trust another sitter with our dog again—Stephanie sets the gold standard!
Nothing but good things to say about Stephanie! Our pup always loves his time there, we get tons of photo updates, Stephanie is super detailed when it comes to care, and we always get a calm, well-loved dog when we return. Having peace of mind while away is so appreciated, thank you Stephanie!
I am very glad to find Stephanie. She is so great with dogs and took such great care of Charlie!

Pets will be treated like our own while in our home. We usually do 2 (sometimes 3) walks a day with additional potty breaks throughout the day. Dogs will get: - Unlimited pets and belly rubs - Feeding times according to their regular schedule (all animals are fed separately to avoid potential food aggression or resource guarding). I have the experience to accommodate a variety of dog diets. - Dog toys, balls, dog puzzles, antlers, and a variety of enrichment activities to keep them busy. Dog playtime is supervised with an emphasis on safety, and antler use will be cleared with you first. - Parks, hikes, trails if that's your dog's thing — we may occasionally drive to a park or trail. If we do, your dog will be buckled with a harness. If you do not want your pet to travel by car, please let me know. - They are allowed on our couch/bed (however, I can enforce a no couch/bed rule if this is your home practice and you do not want this behavior to form). I respond to texts during day hours usually within 10-30 minutes and will send a standard of 2 daily updates with lots of pictures, but I can accommodate more (or less) texts if requested. Our dog is not territorial and will share all her dog toys, beds, blankets, pillows, etc., however, you are welcome to bring any items that will help your pet feel more at home.

Information Stephanie S. would like to know about your pet
I prefer to schedule a meet and greet prior to booking to get to know your pup and their needs, however, if you are coming from out of town and this is not feasible, let me know. If you have any questions about my services, please reach out :) I will ask questions about your dog's general temperament, energy levels, ability to give other dogs space as needed, general personality, meal time behaviors, allergies, medications, treats, leash behaviors, crating, bed time routines, sleep, general health, general routine, territorial behaviors, exercise abilities and anything that may be relevant according to your pet bio.
A typical day
Early wake up, morning walk, feeding, during work from home schedule dogs have free range. Afternoon walk if weather allows. Potty breaks throughout day as needed. Play time (supervised). Dinner. Evening walk. It is rare that either my husband or I are not home but if we do step out for 1-2 hours, we may crate your dog for safety but if your pup is not crate trained, no biggie. Regardless — we’ll go over all their care information prior to booking.

Availability
I work from home so I can be flexible with your pet's needs and schedule. I can accommodate most pick-up and drop-off times with some notice. Our typical day starts with an early morning walk, feeding, some play time, a early afternoon walk around the block and dinner around 5/6pm followed by an evening walk. Dogs do sleep in our room.
