I grew up with dogs as a child and have cared for dogs on my own for over 10 years. I have helped friends and neighbors with drop-in visits while they are out of town or have an extended workday. Currently, we have two dogs, a sweet senior dog and an energetic Belgian Shephard who love to have play dates with their neighborhood dog friends and would welcome your dog to play with them in our spacious backyard. Having a senior dog, I have become very experienced in giving medication in the form of pills on a daily basis, despite the occasional protest. I have some experience with basic puppy training and can stay consistent with whatever commands you are trying to teach your young pup.

Stephanie is an amazing person. We loved her personality and so did Cleo, our black lab old lady (who still thinks she is a puppy). Our family thinks the world of her and wishes her the best in any future endeavor she does. All the dogs are lucky to have her walk them!

If your pup is coming to stay for the day, I have a fenced backyard to keep your fur baby safe while playing with our two dogs. If needed, I can easily crate your dog as well (we have a large crate). We also have sectioned areas in our home (sunroom and lower split level) where I can also separate dogs as needed without putting them in crate. I am attentive to dog needs and have been known to have them occasionally make appearances on Zoom and Teams virtual meetings as they snuggle up for my call. If I am visiting your home to take care of your pet, I will check to make sure the observable space is still in good condition. There is the occasional anxious dog who chews things they should not when separated from humans. Whether your preference is a play break in your yard or a walk around the neighborhood, I will make sure your fur baby has a safe outing and leave them with a treat (with your permission).

Let me know ahead of time if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I need to account for, as well as any chronic condition. I am happy to give oral medication if needed as my senior dog receives meds twice daily.
A typical day
I work from home full-time as an analyst, so we will have a mixture of stimulating play time and some quiet down time to recover for our next outing. If your dog needs a little mental stimulation, I have two different levels of food/treat puzzles for them to play with. For physical stimulation, your dog can play in our spacious backyard with our two dogs and also enjoy checking out the new smells in the neighborhood on a short walk.

Availability
I currently work from home full-time and have a fairly flexible schedule. This allows me plenty of time to take play breaks with your pup in the backyard, have a mid-day walk, and rotate through snuggle/nap time. We have a spacious, grassy, fenced backyard full of balls and sticks to play with along with the occasional bird/squirrel to chase. Our shepherd, Leo, will make a great playmate with your dog. He's energetic, loves to chase balls and make new friends. Our senior dog, River, is welcoming, playful, but also great at giving space to other dogs if needed. We always like to make sure the dogs will get along, so please feel free to reach out to schedule a meet and greet.
