I've wanted a Golden Retriever since I was 5 years old after watching the movie Homeward Bound. My father also owned a pet store in Brazil so I was always around dogs growing up. My family dog was a yellow lab that I helped take care of when I was 15 years old. I would tell him stories about my day, vent to him about life, pick up after him, feed him, and love him. He was a very dear friend to me for a long time. He was a great family dog and I treasured my time with him. After I left home for college and started my first full-time job I finally got what I had been dreaming of for so long: my very own Golden Retriever! She means the world to me and is another best friend/fur-baby I now have in my life. I have personal pet care experience, and have been on Rover for a few months now with various dog walks and dog sitting gigs that have all been really enjoyable for the dogs and myself. I know how much dogs mean to their owners and the care that they deserve. During my personal time, I enjoy art and drawing. I've provided my clients with self portraits of their dogs before after long bookings, as a special thank you for the privilege and trust they have in me around their dogs. Regarding training, I have done clicker training with my dog to teach her how to sit, stay, lay down, spin, stay, shake (either paw), and balance a treat on her nose. I gave also potty trained my dog using a bell method.
