When it comes to animals, I’ve done a little of everything! Since 2010 I’ve been a pet sitter (including owning my own business), worked in pet retail, been the manager of a doggy day care, a full time receptionist at a boarding facility, and now work full time at a veterinarian’s office. As you can see, I have tons of experience with dogs & cats as well as smaller animals and come with numerous reviews and references to support. We are happily owned by 5 dogs and 6 cats at home. Currently looking to meet some new friends and get some walking in on my days off!

Just used Stephanie’s services for the first time while we went on vacation and we’ll definitely have her back as long as she’ll have us as clients! The dogs took to her right away and she went above and beyond in caring for them. The youngest had some digestive issues (I know how unpleasant that was!) and she even took him to the vet when it didn’t clear up like we thought it should. I have nothing but good things to say about how she handled everything.
I assume for anyone reading this review, your pets are members of your family. It is the same for me. I have two large dogs – one is 8, the other not quite 2. I also have a senior cat. I have had a really hard time finding a pet sitter in Elkhart County. We are blessed to have a good boarding kennel in the area, but my dogs have not been happy there and, of course, the cat would NOT enjoy that as it wasn’t HER idea to go ?. From the moment Stephanie walked into my home, there was a sense of calm and compassion about her. It was obvious that she just LIKED my pets and THEY liked her too! We asked Stephanie to pet and house sit as I prefer to hire a petsitter to stay with my pets overnight. She was a VERY quick study and truly paid attention to every detail that I was giving to her. She asked to visit a couple of times before our trip and I was so happy about that. It was apparent that she wanted everyone to feel comfortable with her being in our home. She would text me every day to let me know how things were going. THEN – she would send pics of my smiling pups! It is SO fun to be able to enjoy my vacation knowing that the family left behind has someone with them who really cares about them. And then, when we returned home, the animals were calm and content and our home was just as we left it. Stephanie is a professional. I feel very blessed to have found her. You will enjoy having her watch over your four-legged family members.
I am writing this letter to share about my experience with Stephanie Steele who cared for my dog in my home one weekend. She also provided dog walking services from January-June 2018. The very first meet and greet went very well. My dog is shy, but Stephanie willingly stayed awhile to give her time to get to know her. She also brought her dog to introduce them to each other and they bonded great. My dog loved having a playmate while I was gone for a weekend. And Stephanie took good care of the house as well as my dog. During the period in which she provided service, she came every day at lunch time Monday-Thursday. One time when our city was under a state of emergency for flooding, she still managed to arrive at our house to make sure she got walked. Our only regret is that she has had to stop servicing this area. We miss her services.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or is on a chronic medication - this does include allergies! If your pet cannot have certain treats please let me know this as I often bring a variety with me.
A typical day
Walks are important for both mental and physical stimulation - so many things to sniff and learn! I tend to walk at a faster pace to try and keep dogs engaged in the exercise, but will keep it slower for dogs with an injury or our lovely seniors! I typically try to get pictures in as well when my subjects are willing. Drop in services can include potty time, feeding, medication, playtime, getting the mail, taking down trash, and other light maintenance.

I do work full time, so as a rule I have Wednesdays partially free and am open on the weekends. I will keep my schedule as updated as possible!
