I have 3 monsters of my own. A 5 year old Husky, a 6 year old German Shepherd/Smooth Collie mix, and a 9 month old Golden Lab. All 3 are rescues and they all get along great with other dogs! I am single with no kids, so it is just me and the pups at the house (don't feel sorry- I love it this way LOL)! When I hear "Dog Boarding," kennels immediately come to mind. I'm not sure about you, but I know that is a scary thought for me! Being that all 3 of my monsters are rescues, kennels can be scary. "Boarding" at my house will be like they are at home! I do work M-F 8-5, so we would discuss options during work hours (kennel, separate space, etc.). I have a dedicated PUP ROOM that has a doggie door that leads outside to a large fenced in back yard (5 ft. cedar wood fence), so they have access to come inside and go outside as frequently as they need to (of course, I may have to teach them how to use the doggie door, which is always a blast to watch them learn). I don't crate my dogs, but did when they were being potty trained. If crating is something you would like me to maintain while you are away, that is not a problem. I did upgrade to a king size bed, and my monsters do sometimes save room for me.. :) If yours want to snuggle in bed too, I am alright with that! The more the merrier. I am very particular when it comes to feeding with my babies, so if you have a schedule or special diet or anything, I am more than happy to accommodate! When I have to leave mine behind, I swear I have the equivalent of a diaper bag ready to go for them! I have had dogs my whole life and they are definitely part of the family. I previously worked for the Humane Society, so rescues are a huge part of my heart. Your babies would get just as much love as my own! I know how hard it is to have to leave them behind sometimes, but I promise picture overload will come your way to keep you updated every step while you are away!
