I’ve been a pet owner of a large variety of animal species all my life, including dogs and cats. My family rescues all of our fur babies, and I am a true animal lover and animal rights advocate and activist. I have 8 years experience working as a Veterinary Assistant at an animal hospital on Long Island, and have interacted with hundreds of different dogs and cats. I was responsible for helping during examinations, surgical procedures, and feeding, grooming, providing medication, walking and nurturing all of the animals on site. I have experience as a dog walker and dog sitter, cat sitter, and have volunteered at local shelters to help socialize animals to prepare them for adoption. I love spending time outdoors and will treat your fur baby just like I would my own. I also have 4 years experience fostering puppies, dogs, kittens and cats of varying shapes, sizes, personalities and needs. I have worked with animals with special needs, including blindness and cerebellum hypoplasia (CH) and have trained fearful dogs. I’m a teacher, so I leave in the morning for work and return home mid-afternoon. Early mornings, evenings and weekends will be fully dedicated to your furry friend. I have space to separate your pet from mine in my home if necessary to help them acclimate and have their own tranquil environment. My felines are super friendly and love everyone they meet - dogs and other cats included. They’ve helped me raise many a litter of kittens and enjoy playing with dogs who stay over! Your pet’s unique needs are my top priority, and I will treat your pet as I would my own.
