Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life! Everything from senior dogs, to newly homed puppies, to rescues, to little wiener dogs to 100lb labs, to super high energy border collies. My friends and family often call my husband and I when they need someone to walk or care for their pets in a pinch and we are always so happy to do so! I hold a very large space in my heart for animals and treat every one with all the love I have. I am also an avid walker. I spend most mornings, evenings and weekends walking the neighbourhood, local trails, beaches, and my husband and I spend most weekends hiking. Unfortunately due to rental restrictions at this time my husband and I are unable to own a pet of our own. We are heartbroken as pets have always been a major part of both our lives. To get our fix of doggo love, we are OFTEN called upon by friends and families to care for their fur babies 🥰 the photos I’ve uploaded are all dogs that we have cared for and dog sat for extended periods of time (a week or more).

Safety and trust is very important to me. You are trusting me with a member of your family and I take that responsibility seriously. I ask that if I am doing home visits that you provide details of your pets schedule, your wishes and boundaries for them, their triggers, and most importantly the things that bring them joy. If I am walking your fur baby I am very cognizant of the surrounding environment and the people around us. I always assess the comfort of the animal and adjust accordingly. After all, outdoor time is meant to feel safe, relaxing and fun for your pet! As an added measure to put your mind at ease, I provide regular updates and will send pictures/videos of my time with your fur baby if requested.

A typical day
I love to give your dogs a combination of physical and mental exercise! In addition to walks, hikes, park visits, and beach visits, I provide food motivated mental exercises such as hiding treats in complex and problem solving toys. My favourite places to walk would be close to glen lake, Langford lake, the west hills neighbourhood, and the Jordie Lunn bike park.

Availability
I currently work from home Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and am quite flexible with my schedule which allows me to accommodate your pets schedule! If you don’t have time to walk your pup before you race off to work or can’t get them outside during the day, I’m your person! My current schedule is full availability Friday-Tuesday as my weekends are also fully available.
