Pet care experience
*I do indeed have base/post access!* I began pet-sitting by word-of-mouth in 2013. I signed up on Rover in 2021 after reading an article about the increased need for pet care as people began returning to the office. In 2022, I retired from active duty military service and was able to open my schedule up for full-time animal care. I have direct experience with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, as well as rabbits and other small mammals, lizards, birds, fowl, and fish. I am experienced with administering oral, injected, and transdermal medication, including insulin, subcutaneous fluids, and inhalers. I've also been fostering cats through a local rescue since 2020, and have cared for many cats that need a little (or a lot) of extra patience in building trust.
Reviews
Stephanie is our go to person for all our pet sitting needs. She does a great job and our pets love her!
Thank you for always taking great care of our babies! And for being so open to helping at the last minute. 😊
Stephanie is always great with communication. She always comes on short notice (which is definitely on me because… life) she shows up when she says she will and my dogs enjoy her company. We’ve used her a handful of times and will continue to do so. Thanks again Stephanie!
Our kitties love Stephanie and we are so thankful for her thoughtful care.❤️

Safety, trust & environment
I have a small dog, 4 cats, 2 geckos, and 2 fancy mice of my own. My ultimate goal is to relieve pet owners' worries while they are away from their animal companions.
Information Stephanie S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if you've set any rules or restrictions for your animal that you'd like me to follow, or if the pet itself had any special needs or limitations. Also, please let me know if your animal has any history of aggression or triggers that I should avoid. I do not fear animals and am ready to give them as much time, patience, and interaction as they need to trust me.
A typical day
I choose to live in Alaska because I love the outdoors, and am ready for a long walk around the neighborhood or a hike any day. But I am also content to snuggle under a blanket and chill all day. Whatever your animal is in the mood for, I am happy to oblige.
