Looking for an experienced, loving, active, and knowledgable dog sitter? Look no further, I have had dogs all my life but more recently I have fostered 30 dogs through For Otis Sake in the past 2 years. I have a lot of knowledge from fostering, I know tricks of the trade including integration for multiple dog household, basic training, and multiple strategies to exercising dogs! Great dog walkers are rare! Do you have a high energy breed, a working dog, or dog that needs leash manners. That is not a problem, all dogs need an outlet somewhere and I am very experienced in the high energy/working dog area! I often walk dogs around the Canal and nearby parks, I use 30 minutes to walk your dog and practice basic commands, if your dog prefers faster pace, I have no problem going on a 30 minute run! Does your dog like to use its nose? I also use my backyard or other secluded areas to spread food for your dog to sniff around and mentally exhaust their brains! I also love to take dogs swimming but if they are not off leash worthy I use a 30 foot lead so I have control at all times. Your dog of course would want to go swimming, this is not something I would force! I also use martingale collars to ensure your dog will not slip their lead during all outings. I am also familiar with all sorts of leads for dog who pull. I have experience with the ease leader and nose lead! Boarding at my house? What is it like? I start with a meet and greet with my 3 dogs outside in a neutral territory. My 3 dogs are all of coonhound mix. Abby is 2 years old, Nova is 3 years old, and Dudley is 12 years old. They are all dog friendly and love to chase and play outside! Your dog will be fed separately in a crate to ensure safety, they will have access to comfortable furniture when supervised with unlimited belly rubs, we have plenty of toys to play with and chew, and sleeping arrangements can be discussed (crate, bed, room..up to you!) Need a drop in visit because you work long hours or you are going on vacation. I will walk your dog and spend time with your dog to make sure they are exercise, fed, had a potty break, and affection. I usually like to spend 30 minutes walking during a drop in visit, followed by feeding and love. I don't mind staying longer than 30 minutes to make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for! I can even take them for a drive to get some ice-cream or something tastey! During the summer, I am home full time except for vacation times which are marked on my calendar. As of mid August-Mid June I go back to teaching 5th grade in Washington County! I am available after work as of 3pm! As a side note: I may have boarding closed off on my page at certain times during the year as I continue to foster. If I have a foster in my house, I often times close boarding until I am aware of the dogs temperament, personality, energy level, and triggers (if any) to ensure safety of your dog and my fosters :) Thank you for understanding.
