Pet care experience
My motto for pet-sitting is to treat the pet as if it were still at home. Growing up with pets, I know that each one has their own personality and their own routine, and the familiarity of a routine helps make them feel significantly more comfortable! Growing up with two dogs, I became savvy to their routines and needs, and after adopting a cat over a year ago, I've quickly learned there is not a one-size-fits-all method to pet care. Throughout the years, I've dog-sat during the day as well as overnights for friends and family, and each pet has been made to feel right at home! Whatever rules or expectations you have for them in your own home, I make sure to follow those same rules. Super snuggly pet that loves to curl up on the sofa? Independent pet who likes alone time? All are welcome and will be treated like family. Mi casa es su casa!

Stephanie was absolutely awesome! Super responsive and accommodating for our two doggies. We went away for a weekend and when we picked up the boys, they were so tired from all the love and play, they’ve been asleep on the couch for a solid day and a half. I have a quiet, cozy apartment with plenty of windows for the avid wildlife watchers. Although I do not have my own yard, I live in a residential area with a great half-mile loop with just the perfect amount of sun, shade, and places to sniff, and there is an open-field dog park nearby. Based on the individual needs of each pet, I have an adaptive environment. I have one male cat (about a year and half old and neutered) who is very curious but keeps to himself. He'll often peer at furry guests from across the room only getting close enough for a sniff or two before going off on his own.
A typical day
Depending on the activity your dog needs, we can take a stroll or two around the quiet, residential neighborhood, run around the dog park, take a trip to the park or to the beach!

I'm currently working full-time from home, so I have a flexible schedule. I prefer morning to early afternoon for pick-up/drop-offs, but can be flexible if necessary.
