Play, train, and stay with me! 🐾💖

Pet care experience

Hello! I'm Stephanie, and I can't wait to care for your furbaby. I am an expert dog sitter with 15 years of experience caring for and training my own 4 dogs, 20+ foster dogs, and dozens of dog walking and sitting clients over the years. I love dogs of ALL kinds, and specialize in being able to care for *shy and reactive* dogs which are typically harder for most sitters to take in. I do my dog sitting at Dog Bar, an clean indoor space for dogs that I opened myself in Pleasanton! We have carefully thought-out separated areas to accommodate different energy levels, play styles, and tolerance levels for dogs! We do not take in more than 3 daycare dogs per day, to make sure they all get individualized attention and training! Feel free to message me to ask more. It really is the ideal and safest place to have your dog stay for a day. I also offer pickup services for an extra $25 before 10am! I have worked with a dog rescue for many years and have taken care of a multitude of different dogs. I am uniquely experienced with shy and reactive dogs, and am able to manage them carefully and lovingly, so if you have a dog who is typically harder for the average dog sitter care for, I'm your girl! Special-needs dogs, senior dogs, and puppies are welcome. I love to provide photo/text updates for the pup-parents while your dog stays with me! :)

Stephanie is a fantastic sitter. I've left my pup Kori with her for daycare. She would update me and send me pictures and videos of my dog and I loved that Kori was in good hands. I got to see how healthy and fit my dog was when I came back. I could tell that she was getting lots of exercise and socialization with Stephanie's own dogs. Stephanie would bring my pup and her dog to Dog Bar to play. I love that Dog Bar is indoors and safe for dogs to interact with each other since they check for your dog's vaccinations! Would definitely recommend her services!

Stephanie was excellent. She communicated often about how all the animals were doing and she walked the dogs! I returned from my trip and dogs were relaxed and happy!

Stephanie is the biggest dog-lover I know. She has two rescues of her own that she adores and her heart is so big she is constantly fostering rescues until they can find their furever homes. (She also has a habit of rescuing abandoned kittens trapped under her house). My family recently got a new labrador puppy and the first person I invited over to meet him was Stephanie. She was great with him - brought him toys and treats and he was so excited he peed on her but she didn't even flinch. I apologized profusely but she brushed it off it with a casual smile as if it was nothing and said "no worries, it happens." Seriously, this girl loves animals so much that I'm fairly certain she prefers canines over humans. Your dogs are in the best hands with Stephanie :).

Stephanie is a gentle soul that is wonderful with my dogs. She walks them until they are very happy. She is always happy to accommodate my schedule and knows my dogs names. She is excited to see them every time!

Safety, trust & environment

I have multiple areas where dogs of different energy preferences can hang out with their own preferred crowd! We do not take in more than a few dogs at a time (usually 3 max), so each dog gets highly individualize attention. We also offer basic training using positive methods and treats, to help reinforce good behavior even while at daycare! We also have rooms for kennels if dogs need some private space for naptime or quiet time, although most of the time they will be out in the play areas hanging out with us!

Has a fenced yard

Information Stephanie P. would like to know about your pet

1. Your dog's general energy level and personality 2. Your dog's tolerance for people and other dogs 3. Any medications or special needs? 4. Any separation anxiety?

A typical day

We offer doggie pickup before 10am for your convenience (extra $25), and to reduce separation anxiety that occurs during drop-off's! We will bring them to Dog Bar at Stoneridge Mall and get them acquainted with the environment! Lots of treats and love and play and fetch to get their fun day started. Potty break within the first hour to get them situated, and then a bit of a quiet time to settle down. When they're ready to focus, we do some basic training with them using their favorite treats (sit, stay, leave it, staying at doorways, walking nicely on leash, no jumping, basic manners)! I love to provide photo/text updates for the pup-parents to show their exciting progress! :) Other dogs may come in for daycare or to play at Dog Bar, and we can accommodate your dog depending on their preference for play (different play areas for different levels of energy, and quiet areas for reactive dogs to stay away and train from other dogs)! Only friendly dogs are allowed to play with other dogs. Reactive dogs have their own quiet area to hang out in and acclimate! We walk our daycare dogs outside several times a day for potty breaks and for sniffing engagement with the environment!
