I’ve owned dogs my entire life and I started my own non-profit dog rescue over 10 years ago. I have both personal and foster dogs residing in my home. The current canine crew ranges in size from 8lbs to 100. I also own three rescue equines that live on our property as well. I have experience with many breeds, including large dominant breeds, and I’m a confident dog handler. I’m comfortable interacting with, and handing, dogs that may not be trusting of new people as many dogs that come into rescue have a history of abuse and/or neglect. I also have experience with an array of canine medical conditions and I am comfortable with administering medications or providing any other medical care that may be necessary. I prefer to take in older dogs for boarding as all of my personal dogs are seniors. Dogs must be crate trained. They are only crated at night, or when we are not home, to ensure everyone’s safety.
