Hi! My name’s Steph, and animals are my absolute favorite thing in the world. I’ve owned and cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, so I decided to make it my full time job😊 I genuinely love to learn about each of my furry clients, and if they are willing, I love to teach them as well! Dog training is one of my favorite hobbies! Furthermore, I pride myself in my ability to care for animals in a way that is specialized to their unique needs and/or wants. Whether your dog needs multiple walks a day, a lot of play time, medication administered, special attention to diet, undivided attention, or they just like to cuddle, I will provide it for them! (They will also be getting very spoiled, I can’t help it.) In the past, I’ve taken my new furry friends out to the dog bakery to pick out a treat or maybe a toy, walked them extra long on a nice day, sent them home with their favorite toy or treat they found in my enormous toy bin, and - my favorite - cuddled them all night. I love to bring animals into my home - or enter theirs - and make them feel safe, comfortable, happy, and right at home. As a dog mom myself, that’s exactly how I would want my pet to feel in someone else’s care!

Stephanie is West Chester's very own dog whisperer. We just adopted a puppy from a shelter that is very scared of anyone besides my husband and me. But now he likes Stephanie too. She was patient and caring with Zeke and eventually got him to snuggle with her and go for a walk. That's huge for us. Thank you, Stephanie.

Stephanie is the best! I know our golden retriever puppy loved her! She sent us updates while she was there with tons of pictures. She took great care of Duke and we will definitely be rebooking her!!!

Your pets safety will always be my number one concern. I will make sure to follow whatever precautions are necessary to keep them safe! Please let me know of anything to watch out for with your pet (allergies, doesn’t get along with dogs, reactive outside, etc), and I will make sure you feel comfortable and confident with them in my care! I think establishing trust with animals is so important, especially as a pet care giver. I always approach pets slowly, letting them come to me on their own time. If we are to do a meet and greet, I make sure they see my whole living space, meet my dog at a comfortable distance at first, and to the best of my ability, simply just try not to overwhelm them. Staying in a new place with a new person can be a lot! Moreover, I whole heartedly believe only in positive reinforcement, meaning I solely provide positive feedback or rewards to your pet, which entirely creates a relaxing and trusting environment as well as relationship!

Since I’ve had many different dogs throughout my life, I realize how unique they all can be. Whatever information, I am welcoming to it. If your dog has anxiety, I am familiar with catering to that. If they need medication, extra walks/play time/naps, allergies, I’d like to know so I can help!
A typical day
A typical day in my care will honestly be unique to each client!! I am here to do whatever your pet (or you) need me to do! I will be accommodating of both you and your dogs schedule, so that they are fed, walked, played with, etc. at a time they are used to. Oh, and I also loooove to spoil not only my pet, but yours too! I will give them extra love and affection during their stay, take them to parks, play fetch all day long, take them to a doggy store to pick something out, make homemade dog treats, give them new toys - whatever fits them best!

Availability
Pet care is my full-time job, so my whole schedule revolves around animals! This means I can provide clients with walks or drop in visits at practically any hour, day, or even holiday. Additionally, this means that I am available to have your dog for daycare or provide walks during common business hours, like 9-5s during the week. Of course, too, it means I can house sit and board pets and provide pretty much 24/7 care for them!! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
