As a massage therapist, trainer and health coach, and reiki master, I have learned a lot over the years about not only how to heal and help others but also how to apply those same principles to our furry friends. After all they are family too. They deserve the same holistic natural care as we do. And the recent passing of my 15 year old retriever shepherd mix was proof of that. He was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia at age six and lupus and hypothyroid at age 8. He should not have lived as long as he did, but with proper nutrition , exercise, and the use of alternative modalities Such as acupuncture, massage and reiki, he lived a very long, abundant life. When dogs stay with me, they will be treated as my own. They are in a home on a bed, dog bed, or couch. They are in a yard, on a trail, or swimming- not in a cage with only 3 breaks a day. They live the Tahoe life (or the SF/Pacifica Beach life) with me and my new Rescue, Ava. Ive grown up with medium to large breeds and I am very passionate about keeping our gentle giants out of pain and spreading awareness against large breed discrimination. I relocated from Truckee to Pacifica In 2019 after running a pet care business up there for four years. I am still up in the Tahoe area once a month, but I serve the entire peninsula area.
