Animal lover in the vet field!
Pet care experience
Hey there! I’m Stephanie, a graduate from UC Davis with a bachelors of science degree in Animal Science, specializing in captive and companion animals. I also have associate of science degrees in Biology and Chemistry. I currently work part time in a vet hospital as a Vet Assistant, so I am comfortable with a variety of cats and dogs. I have previously worked at another vet clinic, doggie day camp/dog & cat hotel, volunteered at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA in dog TLC and wildlife, interned at the UC Davis Swine Facility with farrowing sows, and interned at the UC Davis Small Animal Teaching Facility with companion animals. I have also been on a seminar abroad to Poland for Equine Welfare and Management with horses! I have a 4 year old GSD/Lab mix named Kona! She’s extremely active and hyper, so I’m very familiar with dogs that have a similar personality. Of course, I love calm dogs (and cats) as well!
Reviews
Stephanie was great with my 2 kittens. She took an extra step to make sure kitten space was clean. She took photos every time (the photos were great by the way!)
Thank you so much for taking care of our cat Sadie! I can see how much she appreciates your care and company!
Thank you Stephanie for taking care my cat! He was happy and healthy while I was away.
Stephanie did a great job on taking care of my kittens while I was on my trip! It was not my first time to find her to do drop off because she did a great job every time. All my cats were taking good care when I wasn’t home. Definitely recommend her to all of you!

Safety, trust & environment
For drop ins, I would prefer to do a meet and greet prior to the visit so I can meet your furry friend and have a better understanding of where necessities (such as food, treats, leash, litter box, etc) are kept. For walks, meet and greets are not as necessary, but can be requested if you’re interested in one! For pick up/drop off key requests, I require a $5 transport fee (for each visit) for gas/time. If the key pick up is during the meet and greet, there is no fee since I’ll be there anyway :) Key lockboxes are highly encouraged! Side note: If I am unable to enter your home within 10 minutes of arriving (for instance, inability to find parking or if any door codes are not working/instructions are incorrect) and I’m not unable to get a response within that time frame, unfortunately, this will limit my options and I will likely have to leave. To prevent this, please have clear instructions ahead of time and ensure that there is an adequate amount of parking available. Things do happen and I will still figure out a solution to the best of my ability in these situations, but it would help for a smoother visit if these are ready ahead of time!
Information Stephanie L. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about the personality and any particular habits of your pet, as well as what they like or dislike! Additionally, any medical concerns would be helpful. No breed preferences -- I love them all! Additionally, my requirements for pets include being up to date on their Rabies vaccination (unless under 16 weeks) and on flea control. Please let me know in advance if your pet is exhibiting any symptoms of coughing, sneezing, vomiting or diarrhea so I can prepare accordingly to prevent spread to other pets I’ll be seeing after the visit.
A typical day
I love playing with animals and giving them some time for rubs! For walks, we would go around the neighborhood since I’d like to keep them around familiar areas.

Availability
Schedule update: I’m currently working full time as a CLT and continuing part time as a VA so I’ll be working M-Sat. Unfortunately, this means I will not be able to accommodate too many visits for the time being. If you’re extremely flexible on timing, it may work out — feel free to reach out and I’ll see what I can do!
