(Stephanie) I've been caring for, training and rescuing animals since I was a teenager. Every animal has their own personality and past. It takes patience, reliability and love to responsibly care for them. We have two very gentle, older border collies that help make any dog feel welcome to help ease the potential tension of their time away from their humans. We also have an older kitten that is very brave and enjoys her canine companions. We have single story living with two additional rooms on a second floor that we primarily work in. Our yard is a small fenced in dog run that we pick up and maintain on a daily basis when possible. A splash pad is always out and available in the summer for those hot days when we all want to cool down some while the inside of our home is kept cool and has the living room, kitchen, laundry and bedroom on the main floor. Our basement has converted into a safe indoor play area with seating and a TV so that we can all enjoy our time in a sound dampened area when it's Thundering out or there are Fireworks. We also have the ability to use a 48"x48"x72" kennel and an extra large dog crate for dogs who prefer having a kennel or crate to feel safe in anxious situations. We do allow our animals to sleep on the furniture and in our bed, with a set of pet steps as well as dog beds throughout the house. If you do not permit your animals on your furniture at home, we will continue that training here and ours will obey that as well. During the day, our dogs are let out typically around 7am, 9am, noon and 4pm. In the evening, they spend some extra time outside after dinner and before bed while always being supervised. We free feed our two and will work with whatever schedule you currently have for your own dog. If you prefer kenneled meals, we can assist with this as well. We also utilize the basement if the weather is poor and the dogs need to play ball inside to run off some energy. Our house is dog friendly including stair treads. We also use raised bowls for both food and water consumption. If you wish to provide your own food bowls, that is completely fine but not necessary. I do ask that all animals come with a blanket and/or bed that smells like home, food/treats and a toy or any habitual training tool they use normally. We have plenty of grooming tools if needed, bowls and love to take care of the rest of their needs. All new boarding clients are sent a questionnaire on daily routines for their pet(s) and only one family's animals are boarded overnight at a time. If you have any questions, please let me know! With home visits and walks - I provide these daily, weekly or whenever necessary! The additional dog and cat fees vary by home. Typically, if no additional care is needed, they are waived. Cat home visits include feeding, play or affection time as well as litter scooping while puppy visits include picking up and replacing used pee pads. At this time I do not fully empty litter boxes or clean out porch pee caddies without an additional fee.
