I love hanging out with dogs. There is nothing like coming home to an excited dog wagging his/her tail. I have taken care of my co-workers dogs for about 9 years since she was a puppy. About 5 years ago they got a boston terrior. My current living situation doesn't allow dogs at my house. I think it works out well to stay at the house so the dogs are comfortable in their normal environment. Additionally I have taken care of my sister and brother in law dogs. While I am dog sitting I try and make sure to not schedule anything so that way I can spend quality time with the dogs and make sure the house is in order. One set of dogs lives near a park so we'll walk around St. Edwards park. The dogs are not very good around other dogs so I keep them on their leash. In addition my sister has a deaf dog so taking him to dog parks isn't a good idea due to not being able to get his attention. He's a very sweet dog and his inability to hear doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Walking him takes longer though because he like to smell everything. I'm very active myself going to the gym around 5 days a week.I live close to greenlake so I try and walk around the lake at least once a week. So, I definitely have the energy to walk dogs up to 3 times a day for their exercise.
