"Animals do speak, but only to those who listen" Hi there I'm Steph! I'm 29 years old and I moved to Thunder Bay from Scotland in 2018. I have been looking after pets basically all my life and started pet sitting in my teens, and since i've lived in Thunder Bay I have looked after many doggos, cats and also birds and guinea pigs. After living here for a few years, I started a new position at a kennel just outside of town, and I hated it. I couldn't believe that they were only willing to put on one staff from 7a-3p and another from 3-11p, which meant not only did the pets not get enough attention and play during the day, but they also would sleep alone at night with no one around. Thats when I decided that as soon as I had a house, I would offer boarding so that I can provide a safe home for pets to stay where they wouldn't feel alone and get lots of cuddles and be able to go on lovely walks/trails/hikes as well as having a furry friend to play with. Our dog absolutely loves meeting new friends, she’s a japaneze spitz, 6yrs old and spayed. We have a large enclosed backyard and a nice cool garage for them to relax when it's too hot out in the summer. For new owners please let me know if your pup is potty trained, if they should be crated overnight and if they're a chewer! We do have cats who get along great with dogs. They spend most of their time sleeping in the basement and we also let them out sometimes in the backyard and they are super friendly to other doggos. Some previous owners have been really happy their doggo had the opportunity to meet a kitty but can keep them separated if needed. I have a pet friendly vehicle for taking doggo's on walks to lake boulevard etc. I also communicate regularly, sending you pictures of your pet and updating you on how they are doing!
