Growing up with miniature schnauzers, from puppyhood to old age, in sickness and in health, I learned to care for the various personalities and needs of our dogs. My enthusiastic and gentle temperament also reads well with dogs; knowing that a dog's behaviour is often shaped by the temperament of those caring for it, yelling and hitting are never part of my vocabulary. I do hold dogs accountable for their behaviour, however (some need only a wee guilt trip, some will need a more serious consequence), so you can trust that your training won't be thrown out the window. I am also an active person who loves playing dog games (i.e. fetch, frisbee), walking and biking--as well as simply cuddling on a couch--and so I'm able to cater to the dog's level of activity, as fast or slow as is needed.
