Hi I’m Steph! I’m a health professional, living in Roslin, a beautiful village on the outskirts of Edinburgh. I love animals of all shapes and sizes! I have grown up with dogs and cats, alongside a combination of; rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, fish.... anything I could persuade my parents to get me really! I therefore know how big a part of the family pets are and how important their happiness and well being is to you as their owner. I live with my husband Euan who will also be around most of the time to help out and have fun with any furry guests. He is also very experienced with animals, especially dogs! We currently have a 5 year old red fox Labrador who is very friendly and great with other dogs. I am passionate about caring for animals and making sure they have lots of fun and cuddles, so you can be sure that your pet would be very well looked after. Euan and I both work full time Monday - Friday but this involves a combination of home and office working, so between us, there is normally someone at home to provide care/company, even on weekdays! We can be very flexible in terms of the number and duration of walks, Bracken is very energetic and needs lots of exercise so long walks are not a problem. Equally, if your doggy prefers more chilled out walking, that’s no problem either- just let me know what your pooch needs! We also have a private fully enclosed garden for extra play time/toilet trips if required in between walks! Living in Roslin we have unlimited access to a huge range of off road walks in the beautiful countryside we are lucky enough to have right on our doorstep, which is a big bonus for any doggies looking for a sleepover or a play date! We live in a 3 bedroom house, so there's plenty of room for our dog Bracken, and any guests staying. We also have a private fully enclosed garden. Your dog would have access to all parts of the house but mainly the lounge/hall/kitchen areas. For bedtime, wherever you feel your dog would be most comfortable is fine with us! But they would probably be sleeping in the kitchen area or hall and they can be separated from Bracken during the day/night if needed. It is unlikely that that your dog would have much time alone during a stay but if so, it would be no longer than around a couple of hours.
