Hi. My name is Stephanie. Many years ago, I owned my own, successful dog walking/dog sitting business in NJ for four years.* All the pics I have posted are from NJ. I also managed other pets such as cats, fish and tortoises, etc. After moving and starting a family, I feel it in my bones that I need to start this up again. It really fills my soul. We have one dog (a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix) and two cats. I also have a husband and an 11 year-old son. Lol. I am willing to try introducing dogs that have never met a cat to our cats. Honestly, they would just hide and then slowly appear as time goes on. They've managed excited, curious dogs before. As long as your dog isn't aggressive and doesn't consider them a chew toy, we're good! Having said all of that, for boarding, I prefer they stay at our house but don't worry, they will be treated like family. Spanks! Spanks! And more spanks! Just kidding. Stephanie used to care for our dear dog Cali in the good ol' days. Cali had some pretty serious dog aggression when on leash, and since she was pit bullish she sounded scary to folks. Anyway, Stephanie worked with her as a dog walker and sitter, but also as a trainer, really. Things quickly got better. Very early on she boarded our gal and we worried since there were other dogs there, etc. One of the first update pics we got was the crew of dogs sitting perfectly for the camera, our girl there looking sweet, and they all had various hats on. After Stephanie moved away from the NYC area we have had other dog sitters but never anyone who worked on behaviors with them like she does, and cares so much about her pooches. She's really a dog whisperer in general. Also she's just a good egg. We were all buddies in short order! We miss you, Stephanie!
I have had the pleasure of witnessing Stephanie turn her magic with pets of all manner over the past 15 years. There have been dogs from 5 pounds to almost 200 pounds that have passed through our doors and each and every one has left happier than when they arrived. Her instinctive approach to caring and protecting them is simply amazing. She knows the common behaviors of so many breeds and how they will interact with each other and then applies this play, dinner and sleep times. Above and beyond all of this is her basic human integrity that has made her a long time friend to clients over the years. Honest and trustworthy behavior made her business expand through word of mouth and these same behaviors kept her clientele happy with the knowledge that their pets were in the safest and best of care every day that they were with her.
Stephanie made our dog feel like he was part of her pack. We felt very good about leaving our “piglet” in Stephanie’s home every time. She’s amazing!
Stephanie is an extremely loving, reliable, responsible, and communicative pet caregiver who is extremely passionate about caring for your pets. For the better part of 4 years, I relied heavily on Stephanie for walking, watching, training and boarding my young Labrador pup Murphy, and she went above and beyond in every interaction with both me and Murphy to the point that she was one of Murphy’s very favorite people! He literally pretended I did not exist when Miss Stephanie showed up at the door. It gave me extraordinary peace of mind knowing I could travel frequently with Murphy in Stephanie’s care, and she really made him a part of her household while he was there. Had she not moved away geographically, I would surely still be using her daily over a decade later. Any pet in her care will have the best time and learn a thing (or five) from her. I cannot recommend her enough!

We have a fenced in yard and plenty of space to run around. I am a walking fanatic so i enjoy walks and I can walk a handful of dogs at the same time. As I said, we have one dog and two cats. Our house is clean and spacious and we have extra dog beds, blankets, etc. I've been known to give my guest pups baths but I no longer clip nails and am beyond happy to announce that I have retired from expressing anal glands. Yay! So, you'll have to get those services elsewhere. I have experience administering medication and am willing to do so. Most importantly, I offer snuggles galore. And if they have a nice, "boopable" nose, they sure to get plenty of "boops" as well.

I love Bully breeds but unfortunately, I don't accept Bully breeds, Rotties or German Shepherds, due to the fact that we have cats. Even if your pup lives with cats, they don't know ours and they are very powerful dogs and can do some damage if they so choose.
A typical day
I'm hoping I get a crew much like the one I had in the past, only the one in the past consisted of about 6 dogs, give or take. They all got along so well and played non-stop. Sometimes, they would break of into pairs and I'd facilitate playtime with the others either by running around like an idiot, throwing a ball against the wall, using a laser pointer, etc. I love to walk but I'm hesitant to walk other peoples' dogs in the summer. We have plenty of room in our house to play and be crazy for those super hot days. When the temperature is amenable, walks are my thing. I can walk up to four dogs at a time but I'll have to see how it goes. If they're big, I might walk 2 at a time. I have a few kiddy pools as well that the pups can play in and cool off a little. At night, it will be snuggle time and all of the dogs will be with me in our giant master bedroom. I have plenty of dog beds and room in my bed for those who prefer to get spoiled. When and if I have to leave the house at any point, I will either leave the tv on (something mellow) or white noise, which helps tremendously with anxiety. I do have a training background as well and I do make sure everybody is respectful.

I cam currently working from home so my schedule is wide open as far as boarding. As far as visits to your home go, I'm fairly flexible but it if it's in the evening, I will have to bring my son along.
