Pet care experience
We are now accepting new clients! Looking for somewhere for your beloved pup(s) to stay while you’re away without spending the steep rates that dog boarding facilities charge? Well, look no further! My name is Stephanie and my husband, Ryan, and I have a lovely home in Savage we’ve opened up to our furry friends in need of a place to stay while their families are away. Our decision to begin boarding started with our love for dogs and the 20+ years of combined experience we have with them. We have 3 resident dogs....two of them are Weimaraners named Jaeger (12yrs) & Charlie (7yrs) and the third is a German Short-haired Pointer named Annika (2yrs). Our senior Weimaraner, Lady (11.5yrs) who played a large role in greeting our boarding customers, passed away August 2017 and we miss her dearly. Those who are familiar with the breed know they can be challenging to own due to their high energy, separation anxiety and stubbornness. We have learned a lot raising Weimaraners in regards to balanced training and patience! They are the loves of our lives and the reason we began fostering for a local rescue working with puppies and adult dogs. We have successfully trained and re-homed many dogs to loving families. Many of our adopters board with us on a regular basis and it’s so good to see our previous fosters bloom into amazing family dogs. Holiday Rates are increased to $50/night for the following nights: Holidays: *Easter: Saturday & Sunday night *Memorial Day Weekend: Fri - Mon night *4th of July (Fri - Sun night if it falls on a weekend) *Labor Day Weekend: Fri - Mon night *Thanksgiving: Monday - Sunday nights the week of Thanksgiving *Christmas and New Year’s: Last 2 weeks of December through January 1st **Puppy Rates (dogs up to 1 year)** $50/night **Daycare rates - $25/day (upon request) NOTE-We only book existing clients for holidays. We board on all major holidays but request no pick ups or drop offs on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day and Easter so we can focus on family time :) Our pick up/drop off cutoff is 3pm on Christmas Eve.
Reviews
Steph was absolutely wonderful for our boarding experience when we went out of town in September. She communicates very well, is extremely professional, and has a lot of experience with all types of dogs. I truly would recommend her place to anyone that’s got a laid back furry friend in need of a place to stay.
My pup was very well cared for & had a great time, and I loved getting pics & updates during her stay!
Stephanie was fantastic, providing extra care and tips for our pups. And the photos were reassuring that Dakota was having the time of her life.
Stephanie was great! Maxwell had a wonderful time with her and she sent so many lovely photos for us!

We are available all year round for boarding with drop offs from 7am-5pm and pick ups between 8am-7pm. Pick up and drop off are by appointment only. Pick ups after 12pm will be assessed a $20 PM charge for that day. We will discuss a drop off time that works for everyone at the meet and greet! You only need to provide food, leash and any medications they are on. We have crates, stainless steel food bowls, dog beds, blankets, toys, all natural bones (no rawhides!)…you name it! All food bowls get sanitized and blankets washed in between dogs boarded. We ask that your pup is crate trained, up to date on vaccinations & social with other dogs as they will be integrated into our “pack” when they come to stay with us.

Information Stephanie G. would like to know about your pet
We are VERY picky about who we accept as clients and your dog will need to pass a meet and greet with us before becoming a client. We do not board any bully breeds due to their tendency to have a more pushy and in your face play style that is hard to redirect, which many of our dogs do not respond well to. Nothing against those breeds, we just aren't going for an MMA throw down vibe here! We like to keep things more relaxed. Sure, the pups have moments of zoomies but most the dogs we watch are pretty mellow, even tempered dogs. We want to provide a fun and stress free play environment for everyone! We also will not board any dogs that show overly dominant traits during the meet & greet and/or have any known fear aggression or resource guarding of food and/or toys (no exceptions). We will not board any intact males dogs over 9mons of age as intact males make my male (Jaeger) nervous and uncomfortable and I do not wish to make him feel out of place in his own home. We also do not board any dogs with severe separation anxiety in the crate. For new clients, we require a quick meet & greet with you and your pup at our home so you can feel comfortable with the place they will be staying and so we can get to know you and your family member a bit more!
A typical day
Your pup(s) will have a blast running around our ½ acre, alfully mulched and fenced, yard, playing with toys, socializing with the other dogs, sunbathing on the deck or snoozing away on the couch. For bedtime, we ask that your dog is crate trained and ok being in a crate at night. Crates provide a safe space for your dog to relax from the day and most of clients are ready for some down time and sleep pretty hard after a busy day! During our meet and greet with you, we will go over their normal daily routine and try to stick as close to it as we can. We believe that providing a predictable schedule for your pup(s) will help them feel comfortable at home with us.

We have been professionally boarding dogs in our home since 2016 and have a steady client base of just over 200 customers with most of them being regulars! Needless to say, we book up fast and I try my best to reflect that on our availability calendar. We love our customers and all the pups that come through. This is my full time business so I am home most of the time with the pups! If I do need to leave, I try not to be gone for more than 4 hours max, if needed.
